ABOUT YORK DOG PARK
York Dog Park is an award-winning secure enclosed dog walking field in Knapton, York that you can hire for exclusive use for you and your dog(s). On our field you can let your dogs off the lead allowing them to run, explore and most importantly play in a safe area.
You and your dog(s) will benefit from our 1-acre private dog walking field, offering a stress-free fun environment for exercise, training, fun and more. Complete with a full agility course for your dogs. Our Dog Walking field has been developed with a 6ft deer fence and rabbit netting underground to fully the secure the field for your safety.
At York Dog Park, you and your dog will be able to work on training, building confidence, bonding (if your dog is new to you and your family) with no risk of interruptions. You'll get the dog walking field all to yourself which gives you the chance to really bond and have fun without any distractions.
Our Dog Walking Field is conveniently located in the pretty countryside Village of Knapton, 3 miles from the city centre of York. Easily reached from all areas of York just off the A1237 from the outer ring road.
Many local dog walks are becoming busier and more of a danger to dogs and their owners. York Dog Park offers the perfect solution for private one-on-one time with your dog(s) to explore in a safe environment.
We are open for bookings 7am until 8pm, seven days a week. You can hire our field for 60 minutes at a time. You can book your session online on our website.

HOW IT WORKS
To gain access to York Dog Park, book a slot via our website.
Once you have booked your slot you will receive a unique gate code which you can use to gain entry to our private dog walking field. This code will be valid for your allocated time slot.
Booking slots are one hour (60 minutes). This time slot includes unloading your dog(s), using the field and exiting. So, please make sure you book a slot that allows you to do everything you need to in your allocated time.
Our dog walking field in York is open for booking slots everyday between 7am until 8pm. You can book multiple consecutive slots throughout the day if you would like your session to be longer than one hour.
You can also book a recurring slot at York Dog Park if you want to book a certain time regularly, either every day, week or month.

You can find York Dog Park at Back Lane, Knapton, 3 miles from the city centre of York, easily accessed just off the A1237 from the outer ring road. The postcode for Sat Nav is YO26 6QJ.
Parking is provided within the dog park field on a gravel surface. This is sign posted upon arrival. Please do not park elsewhere on site when using the dog park.

Having been to a number of other dog parks I have to say this is our favourite. The time sensitive gate lock ensures that nobody else can access the field during your time, which gives you extra piece of mind especially if you have a reactive dog. The field is brilliantly set out with enough equipment to entertain those who want it but with plenty of space for those who don’t. There is a sensory corner which is left uncut perfect for dogs of all ages for getting the sniffers excited or for those training to seek & find.

A well located dog park offering a safe and secure place for dogs to be let loose.
The park bench and gazebo were a nice addition throughout the 1hr session.
My dog had fun on the agility section and also found this did not impact the wide open space for him to run, the long grass/wild section was also a nice touch keeping in varied. Easy booking system and ease of use overall made it well worth the visit. Highly recommend.

Amazing, clean, secure and entertaining for all!
We took an 18 month old lab, a 2 year old spaniel x American bulldog and a 10 year old lab and they all loved it equally. The two younger ones loved having a go at everything and the older boy enjoyed sniffing around in the longer grass section.
The paddling pool was a brilliant bonus which all the dogs loved. We will definitely be back!
