How do I book?
You must book your session at York Dog Park via the booking section of our website by following these simple steps:
1. Select the session you would like to book. We have several options for you to choose from including 1-hour private dog walking sessions, dog training sessions and block booking sessions.
2. Once you have selected your session, please choose the day and time you would like to visit. Only available time slots will be available in the calendar.
3. If you want book just one session at York Dog park, please select "continue" to proceed to payment.
If you would look like to book more than one session, click "add another hour" which will allow you to add another session. You can do this multiple times.
If you know you want to book a certain time regularly, either every day, week or month then you can click the recurring option.
Please Note: If you're wanting to book multiple sessions, we suggest booking a 'block booking session' as this gives you a discount on the standard booking price.
4. Once you have made as many bookings as you wish, please click "continue".
The next page is the “Your information” page. A summary of your bookings will be shown at the top of the page. You then need to complete your information and click on pay now to complete your booking.
If you have purchased a block booking package or have been given a gift certificate then click on the “Redeem Block Booking/Discount Code” button and enter your code.
5. To complete your booking, please enter your card details and click on "Pay Now". You can also tick the box to “save this card” to prevent you from having to type in your details every time you wish to book a session.
6. Once this procedure has been completed, your booking will be confirmed. You will receive a confirmation email with details of your booking and how to get into the field.
If you do not receive your confirmation email, please check your spam box. If you still can’t find it, please contact us by telephone on 07498782849 or 07825459454.
You will also receive a text message from us 12 hours before your booked session confirming the unique gate code for your booked session(s) which you must keep to gain access to York Dog Park.
Simply place the code in the lock, and the gate will be unlocked, ready to be opened. This code will also be your exit code. Please close the main site gate behind you when entering and exiting.
After you’ve made your first booking, you can create an account so you don’t have to fill in your details every time.
How do I see my bookings?
Once you have booked your first session you can create a login. After you have created your profile, all you have to do is login to see your list of upcoming sessions and any previous sessions you have made.
You can also see any active codes you have and how many appointments you have available with the active code.
Can I reschedule my bookings?
Yes. You can reschedule your booking up to 12 hours before your existing booking.
Login to your account and a summary of your forthcoming bookings will show. Each appointment has the option to reschedule via the “reschedule” button. Click on reschedule and follow the process to choose a new date and time. Once you have amended your booking, you will receive an email confirming your new date and time.
To do this, follow these instructions:
Go to the Book Online page
Click on login
Sign in using your login details
If you haven’t previously signed/logged in, do the following:
On the bottom on the left, where it says ‘don’t have an account? Sign Up'. Click sign up
The screen will then refresh
Fill in the email and create a password
Click go. You will now see the book now page. In the top right, it will say hello | sign out.
Once you are in the book now page you will need to:
On the screen under my account click appointments
You will then see any bookings you have made
Click on the booking you would like to amend or cancel
You will then see a clock and a bin symbol appear
To amend the booking click the clock
It will then display the calendar
Select your new chosen date and time
The booking has now been amended
Can I cancel my booking?
If the user arrives late, the booking time cannot be extended. 24 hours notice is required for any booking cancellations. This MUST be done via the booking section of our website using your login.
Refunds can only be given if we have a minimum of 24 hours' notice of a cancellation. If you make a booking and then need to cancel it for any reason. You can do this using the website booking system anytime over 24 hours in advance of the start time of your session.
Your session will automatically be refunded back to your booking account.
If you decide to cut your appointment short or do not turn up without informing us, you will still be charged for the full session booked.
Can I book more than one time slot at a time?
Yes. Once you have selected a date and time for your first booking click on the “add a time” option and select the next date and time you would like to book.
Where do I park?
Parking is provided within the dog park field on a gravel surface. This is sign posted upon arrival.
Please do not park elsewhere on site when using the dog park.
What does 1 hour walking slot mean?
Booking slots are one hour (60 minutes). This time includes the time to unload your dog(s), open and close the gates, gather poo, tidy up and leave the field.
The slot is not just for use of the field, so please book a time slot that allows you to do everything you need to in your allocated time.
The field will be used by some reactive/nervous dogs, so please take this into consideration when deciding how long your slot needs to be. This is part of the Terms & Conditions you agree to when booking a slot.
Do not enter the dog park or unload your dogs until all other dog park customers are off-site. You can view the full park rules here.
Are there horses near the dog park?
Yes. Please be aware that there are horses in the adjacent paddocks to the dog park.
Are there any toilet facilities on site?
Unfortunately, there are no toilet facilities available for use at York Dog Park. Public toilets are available in Acomb.
What facilities do you have in your dog park?
Fresh water trough for your dog to drink from
Dog Waste Bin and Poo Bags (subject availability)
Will anyone else be in the dog park?
No, when you book a slot it is for your individual use for you and your dog(s) for your 60-minute session.
Can I turn up without a booking?
No, please book online on our website in advance. You cannot gain access to the dog park without booking online.
How do I access the field?
You will receive a unique gate code via text message once you have booked online. Please use this code to open the site gate then follow the signs to the dog park field gate.
This same code, will also be your exit code. If you arrive early, or late this code will be invalid as your code is only valid for your 60-minute slot. Otherwise you will be locked in or out.
Is there somewhere undercover in the dog park?
Yes, there is a small shed in the dog park dog mums and dads can use to sit and relax or stay out of the bad weather.
