HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION AT YORK DOG PARK?

YOU MUST BOOK YOUR SESSION AT YORK DOG PARK VIA THE BOOKING SECTION OF OUR WEBSITE USING THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

1. Select the session you would like to book. We have several options for you to choose from including 1-hour private dog walking sessions, socialisation sessions, dog training sessions and block booking sessions.

2. Once you have selected your session, please choose the day and time you would like to visit. Only available time slots will be available in the calendar.

3. If you want book just one session at York Dog park, please select "book now" to proceed to payment. If you would look like to book more than one session, click "add another session" which will allow you to add another session. If you want to book a certain time regularly, then you can click the recurring option.

4. Once you have made as many bookings as you wish, please click "pay now". You will then need to fill in your information and payment details to complete your booking. You can also tick the box “save this card” to prevent you from having to type in your details every time you wish to book a session.

 

If you have purchased a blocking booking package or a gift voucher then click on the "Redeem my Voucher Code" button and enter your code to do this.

6. Once this procedure has been completed, your booking will be confirmed. At the bottom of the confirmation page, you can create an account so you don’t have to fill in your details every time and find all your bookings in one place.

 

7. After your booking has been made, you will receive a confirmation email with details of your booking and how to get into the field. You'll also receive an automatic reminder email and text 24 hours before your booked session(s).

 

If you do not receive your confirmation email, please check your spam box. If you still can’t find it, please contact us by telephone on 07498782849 or 07825459454.

 

7. You will receive a text message from us 12 hours before your booked session confirming the unique gate code for your booked session(s) which you must keep to gain access to York Dog Park. Simply place the code in the lock, and the gate will be unlocked, ready to be opened. This code will also be your exit code. Please close the main site gate behind you when entering and exiting.

HOW DO I BOOK AND REDEEM A VOUCHER?

IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT A YORK DOG PARK BLOCK BOOKING OR GIFT VOUCHER FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS TO REDEEM YOUR PURCHASE:

1. After you have purchased your Block Booking Session or Gift Voucher on the York Dog Park website. You will receive a confirmation of your booking which will include a voucher with your exclusive code. You will need to use this code when booking your next session so that you can redeem your purchase.

2. To access your voucher, you will need to click the "view voucher" button that you received on your confirmation. If you have bought this as a gift we recommend printing or forwarding this on to the recipient so that they can use it.

3. On the voucher, you will see your voucher code and information on how to redeem it. You will need to make sure you enter this code into the "Redeem my Voucher Code" box when making your booking. 

 

If you click the "schedule" button at the top of your voucher, this will automatically fill in the "redeem your voucher code" button for you making this process easier when booking online.

 

4. Once you've have booked the session(s) you would like, you will receive a confirmation email with details of your booking and how to get into the field. You'll also receive an automatic reminder email and text 24 hours before your booked session(s).

HOW DO I BOOK MULTIPLE SESSIONS?

IF YOU WOULD LOOK TO BOOK MULTIPLE SESSIONS OR EXTEND YOUR SESSION TO MORE THAN 1 HOUR, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

1. Select the session you would like to book and choose the day and time you would like to visit. Only available time slots will be available in the calendar.

2. When selecting the date and time you'd like to book please select "add another session" for the option to add another 1 hour session to your booking. You can select this any time and date of your choice.

3. Once you have made as many bookings as you wish, please click "pay now". You will then need to fill in your information and payment details to complete your booking. You can also tick the box “save this card” to prevent you from having to type in your details every time you wish to book a session.

HOW DO I RESCHEDULE MY DOG PARK BOOKING?

IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR YORK DOG PARK BOOKING TO ANOTHER DATE O TIME, FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

1. You can reschedule your York Dog Park booking up to 24 hours before your booking is due to start. To do this, go to your booking confirmation. This can be found on your account or on your email.

2. Then select the "reschedule session" button. You will then be able to choose a new date and time that you would like your session to be.

3. Once you are happy with your new date and time for your session, please click "reschedule" to confirm your booking.

4. Once you've reschedule your session, you will receive a new confirmation email with the details of your new booking  and how to get into the field. You'll also receive an automatic reminder email and text 24 hours before your booked session(s).

HOW DO I CANCEL MY YORK DOG PARK BOOKING?

IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL YOUR YORK DOG PARK BOOKING, FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

1. You can cancel your York Dog Park booking 24 hours before your booking is due to start. Refunds can only be given if we have a minimum of 24 hours of notice of a cancellation. 

Please Note: If you arrive late, decide to cut your session short or do not turn up without informing us, you will still be charged for the full session booked.

2. To cancel your booking, go to your booking confirmation. This can be found on your account or email.

3. Then select the "cancel session" button. Your session will then be cancelled. You will receive an email confirming this and the money will be refunded back into your account within a few days.

HOW CAN I SEE MY DOG PARK BOOKINGS

IF YOU HAVE BOOKED A SESSION AT YORK DOG PARK YOU CAN VIEW THEM IN YOUR ACCOUNT

Once you have made your first booking with York Dog Park, you will be able to make an account with our booking system. The option to create an account will be at the bottom of your booking confirmation. You can find out more information on how to create an account here on our FAQs page.

Once you have an account, you will be ​able to see a list of your upcoming sessions and any previous sessions you have made. You can also see any active codes you have and how many appointments you have available with your active codes.

HOW DO I CREATE AN ACCOUNT?

TO MAKE AN ACCOUNT WITH THE YORK DOG PARK BOOKING SYSTEM, FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

1. You can make an account with our booking system after you have made your first booking. On the booking confirmation page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Make an Account".

2. You will then need to enter your email and create a password for your account. Make sure that the email you use to create your account is the same one that you used when making your booking.

3. To confirm your account click "sign up". Once logged into your account you'll be able to see your upcoming sessions. You'll be able to manage your sessions from your account making it easier to reschedule or cancel any bookings if you need to.

4. You can sign into your account at any time on the booking section of our website. This will allow you to book your future sessions more easily and see what you have already booked.

HOW DO I SIGN IN TO MY ACCOUNT?

TO LOGIN TO YOUR YORK DOG PARK ACCOUNT, FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

1. To login into your account, go to the Booking section of the York Dog Park website and scroll down and click where it says "log in."

If you haven't already made an account with our booking system, you can do this when you make your first booking. Details of how to do this can be found here on our FAQs page.

2. You will then need to enter your email address and password to login to your account. Once you're logged in you will be able to see a list of your upcoming sessions and any previous sessions you have made. You can also see any active codes you have and how many appointments you have available with your active codes.

WHAT CAN I DO IF I'VE FORGOTTEN MY ACCOUNT PASSWORD?

IF YOU'VE FORGOTTEN THE PASSWORD FOR YOUR YORK DOG PARK ACCOUNT, FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

1. If you've forgotten your password, sign into your account by clicking the "log in" button the booking section of our website.

2. When signing in, enter your email address and then click "log in." This will automatically take you to the incorrect password page which will allow you to change it.

3. On the incorrect password page, click "forgot your password" to reset it.

4. You will then be taken to the Acuity Scheduling website (our booking account provider). You will then need to enter your account email address and then click the "reset password" button.

5. Once you have done this, you will receive an email will a reset password link. Please click the "reset password" in the email.

6. You will then be taken to the York Dog Park account page, where you'll be asked to "click to reset your password."

7. Then you will be promoted to create a new password for your account. 

8. Once confirmed, you will be then logged into your account again. When logging into your account later, you will need to use this new password that you have created to access it.

HOW DO I ACCESS YORK DOG PARK?

TO ENTER YORK DOG PARK, YOU WILL NEED A UNIQUE GATE CODE THAT YOU CAN GET BY BOOKING A SESSION ONLINE ON OUR WEBSITE

York Dog Park is a securely enclosed dog walking field that can only be accessed via a Unique Gate Code. You will receive this when booking a session online on our website. You will not be able to gain entry in the dog park without this.

 

When you've booked a session, you will receive a unique gate code for your session 12 hours before it's due to start. This gate code is valid for the time slot you have booked and nobody else can use this lock meaning you and your dog(s) are safe and secure in our field. 

When you arrive, open the main gate using your unique gate code. Please make sure you close the gate behind you so that you and your dog(s) are secure and nobody else can come in.

 

Once on the premises, you then need to open the dog park gate and once securely in the field, shut this behind you so that you're enclosed in the field. If you're driving, please park on the hard standing inside the field near the shed.

After you have shut this gate, please take your dog off the lead and enjoy our dog park! Don't forget to take a picture of your dog against the photo wall whilst you're there!

When you leave York Dog Park, please close the dog park gate and main gate behind you so that it is ready for the next person.

Please Note: Your unique gate code is only valid for the time slot you have booked. Therefore if you arrive early or exit later than your session, then your gate code will not work and you will be locked in our out of the Dog Park.

WHAT FACILITIES AND SERVICES DO YOU OFFER AT YORK DOG PARK?

YORK DOG PARK IS A 1-ACRE SECURE ENCLOSED DOG FIELD ​OFFERING PRIVATE SESSIONS, TRAINING SESSIONS AND SOCIALISATION SESSIONS

York Dog Park is a secure enclosed dog walking field in Knapton, York that you can hire for exclusive use for you and your dog(s). On our field you can let your dogs off the lead where you can exercise, train, explore and play in a safe area. complete with a full agility course.

As well as individual sessions for you and your dog(s) we also offer professional dog training classes and socialisation sessions. We're always updating what you can do at York Dog Park so that we can provide the best experience for dogs and their owners in York and surrounding areas. For the latest information on what we offer please check the booking section of our website.

We currently offer the following services:

1 Hour Private Sessions

Dog Training Classes with SmartDogs

Dog Socialisation Sessions

1-to-1 Training (available on request) 

Our dog park also has a fantastic range of facilities including a full agility course and water trough. We're constantly improving our Dog Park which means we get to offer more facilities at our park to make it a more enjoyable experience for you and your dog(s).

We currently have the following facilities:

Fresh water trough for your dog(s) to drink from

Agility Course including jumps

Dog Waste Bin and Poo Bags (subject to availability)

ARE THERE ANY TOILET FACILITIES ON SITE?

WE DO NOT HAVE ANY TOILET FACILITIES AT YORK DOG PARK

Unfortunately, there are no toilet facilities available for use at York Dog Park. Public toilets are available in Acomb and other surrounding areas.

IS THERE SOMEWHERE UNDERCOVER AT YORK DOG PARK?

YES, WE HAVE ​A SHED WITH SEATING AVAILABLE

There is a small shed at York Dog Park ​that dog mums and dads can use to sit and relax or stay out of the bad weather.

WHAT ARE THE DOG PARK RULES?

WHERE CAN I PARK MY CAR?

PLEASE PARK INSIDE THE DOG FIELD ON THE HARD STANDING NEAR THE SHED

When accessing York Dog Park via car, you must open the main gate using your allocated gate code and drive your car into the dog park field on the right-hand side.

You will need to open the dog park gate and park on the hard standing just inside the field near the shed. Please close the dog park gate behind you before getting your dog out of the car to ensure they are safe and secure in our field.

At the end of your session please ensure that you close the dog park gate behind you before leaving so that it is ready for the next person. You will also need to input your allocated gate code into the main gate again to exit.

 

Please do this just before your allocated session ends, as otherwise you may be stuck in the dog park as our gate codes change on the hour.

If you have booked a dog training class or socialisation session, you may need to park in a different location. You will be notified of this on the confirmation of your booking.

York Dog Park has been designed for a maximum of 3 cars at one time. If for any reason you require more parking, please contact us at dogparkyork@gmail.com before booking so that we can assist you.

HOW DO I FIND YORK DOG PARK?

YORK DOG PARK IS BASED IN KNAPTON, YORK AND IS EASILY ACCESSIBLE BY CAR

 

You can find York Dog Park at Back Lane, Knapton, 3 miles from the city centre of York, easily accessed just off the A1237 from the outer ring road. The postcode for Sat Nav is YO26 6QJ.

Parking is provided within the dog park field on a gravel surface. This is sign posted upon arrival. Please do not park elsewhere on site when using the dog park.

CAN I VISIT YORK DOG PARK WITHOUT A BOOKING?

NO, ALL BOOKINGS MUST BE MADE ONLINE IN ADVANCE ON OUR WEBSITE

To make sure we can provide a safe and fun experience for you and your dogs, all booking must be made online on our website. Our dog walking field can only be access via a Unique Gate Code which you will receive from us by text message 12 hours before your session is due to begin.  You cannot gain entry into York Dog Park without this.

Our gate code is completely secure and is only valid for the session you have booked. This means nobody else can access York Dog Park whilst you have your session, giving you peace of mind and security.

WILL ANYBODY ELSE BE AT THE DOG PARK?

NO, ALL PRIVATE SESSIONS ARE FOR INDIVIDUAL USE AND NOBODY ELSE WILL BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE FIELD WHILST YOU'RE ON IT 

York Dog Park is completely secure and when you book a private session at our dog walking field your slot is for individual use for you and your dog(s). 

You can only access York Dog Park via a Unique Gate Code which you will receive 12 hours before your session. Nobody else will have access to this code except from you. Which means nobody else will be able to access the dog walking field apart from you during your allocated session.

Please Note: Your unique gate code is only valid for the session you have booked. This means if you arrive early or leave late you will be locked in or out of the dog park. This is to provide extra security for all of our customers and their dog(s).

If you have booked a socialisation session or group dog training class, there will be other people and dogs in the park with you which will have been confirmed to you when you booked your session. This is the only time other people will be in the dog park with you. The York Dog Park team will be at these sessions to make sure it is a fun and safe experience for everyone attending. 

ARE THERE ANY HORSES AT THE DOG PARK?

YES, YOU MAY SEE HORSES IN THE ADJACENT PADDOCKS DURING YOUR SESSION

Yes, please be aware that there are horses in the adjacent paddocks to the dog park. Please be mindful of this when you book your session.

DO YOU PROVIDE DOG TRAINING AT YORK DOG PARK?

YES, WE DOG TRAINING WITH SMARTDOGS TRAINING IN OUR ENCLOSED FIELD

Yes, please be aware that there are horses in the adjacent paddocks to the dog park. Please be mindful of this when you book your session.

York Dog Park work with KC Registered Dog Trainer "Will Smart" from SmartDogs to provide dog training in an enclosed and secure space. So that you and your dogs can learn, socialise with other dogs and most importantly have fun.

We offer a range of different dog training classes. Including introductory and advanced group puppy classes and dog classes. You can also get 1-to-1 training at York Dog Park and sessions for this are available by contacting us.
